Our Mission

The Friends of Samuel Smith House and Property, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of Friends of Samuel Smith House and Property, Inc. is to restore, maintain and preserve the house and property as a living museum of 18th and 19th century Connecticut farm life. The Farmstead is jointly owned by the Town of East Lyme and Niantic Sportsmen’s Club. The Farmstead is overseen by Friends of Samuel Smith House and Property, Inc. Its membership is open to anyone who wishes to support its mission.

Volunteer

We invite you to join other like-minded volunteers at the historic Samuel Smith Farmstead c1748, helping at events, get out in the fresh air while working in our colonial herb and flower garden, meet new friends.

We are an all-volunteer, tax deductible 501C(3) organization. The Farmstead is totally dependent on the generous donations of its supporters who are devoted to the preservation of its buildings and grounds.

Membership

Membership in Friends of Samuel Smith House and Property, Inc. helps to preserve and maintain the House and Property of the Samuel Smith Farmstead. Your membership is vital to our success as a volunteer organization.
